Laboratory for Numerical Simulation of Meta-Oceanic and Hydrodynamic Phenomena (LNSMHP) 

Provide technological services to characterise meteorological and oceanographic phenomena, design and optimise marine facilities, develop virtual reality applications, and process information using supercomputing infrastructure.

Supercomputing laboratory offering comprehensive solutions, including metocean characterisation of sites, as well as design, optimisation and analysis throughout the entire life cycle of production facilities.

TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS:

  • Metocean studies for site characterisation.

  • Special studies on pollutant dispersion, such as spills at sea and sediment transport.

  • Analysis, design and optimisation of floating production systems, risers and mooring lines.

  • Analysis of marine operations between ships, ships and single buoys, pipelines, and equipment installation.

  • Design and specifications for scale evaluation of marine infrastructure in ocean tanks.

  • Development of virtual reality simulators for training personnel in the oil industry.

  • Analysis of fluid-structure interaction through computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
