
NMX R 025 SCFI 2015 Equal Employment and Non-Discrimination
NMX-R-025-SCFI-2015 is a voluntary Mexican standard that certifies workplaces implementing measures aimed at ensuring equal employment opportunities and preventing discrimination.
It was developed by the Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social (STPS), the former Instituto Nacional de las Mujeres (INMUJERES), now the Secretaría de las Mujeres (SEMUJERES), and the Consejo Nacional para Prevenir la Discriminación (CONAPRED). The standard is available to public, private, and social organizations, regardless of their size or sector.
Its main objective is to promote equitable talent management practices, including bias-free recruitment processes, equal pay, inclusive language, accessibility, work–life balance measures, and mechanisms to prevent and address discrimination and workplace violence.
For institutions, this standard strengthens their commitment to equity, improves the work environment, and contributes positively to their organizational reputation.
At the Mexican Petroleum Institute (IMP), the implementation of this standard has helped build a more inclusive environment, foster fair labor practices, and strengthen employees’ sense of belonging. Our Equal Employment and Non-Discrimination Group, along with the designation of a Gender and Non-Discrimination Liaison, reflects the institutional commitment led by the CEO.
