Upstream

The laboratory has state-of-the-art infrastructure in its three sections, as well as highly experienced staff. We offer real technological solutions for flow measurement, fluid design and evaluation for drilling control, repair, completion and well maintenance.

This laboratory currently has three sections that enable it to offer comprehensive and highly specialised services:
-
Well Control Fluids.
-
Tools.
-
Geomechanics.
Our tools section offers different options for design, electronic manufacturing, and metalworking for the development of highly specialised tools for optimising reservoir production and acquiring data in wells or oil facilities.
Laboratory capabilities
-
Two mobile laboratories for evaluating drilling fluids, three for hydraulic fracturing, as well as field kits for testing in onshore wells and offshore platforms.
-
We have the first and only dry particle size meter in Mexico.
-
Hybrid sampler that improves information on the roundness and sphericity of proppants.
-
In-line viscometer for evaluating fracturing fluids in the field, which easily adapts to different viscosity ranges.
-
Atmospheric and pressurised consistometers and ultrasonic cement analysers that provide a non-destructive method for determining the relative strength development of a cement sample.
-
Experimental equipment for multiphase flow and cuttings transport.
