IMP and UJAT Sign Agreement to Promote Talent and Energy Innovation
The ceremony was led by IMP General Director Dr. Elizabeth Mar Juárez and Mr. Guillermo Narváez Osorio, President of the Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco (UJAT), in the presence of students, university authorities, and representatives from the energy sector.
The Mexican Petroleum Institute (IMP) and UJAT signed a General Collaboration Agreement to promote joint research projects, technological development, academic training, and knowledge transfer, strengthening the link between academia and the energy sector.
The event consolidated an alliance that will enable the optimal use of human, material, and financial resources in strategic initiatives aimed at fostering innovation and developing young talent.
In her address to the student community, Dr. Mar Juárez stated:
“Dear students, Mexico’s energy future is changing, and with it, our responsibilities. We need curious, committed minds willing to conduct research. Today, I invite you to join us and be part of the change we are driving from the Mexican Petroleum Institute.”
She also shared:
“I am the first woman to lead this Institute in its 60-year history. That shows that things are changing. It is not always easy, but if you dream big and commit yourselves, you can go very far. At IMP, we welcome you with open arms.”
For his part, Rector Guillermo Narváez Osorio emphasized:
“I am certain that our young people will benefit the most from this agreement. If they take ownership of these opportunities and make them their own, they will be able to participate in projects that will strengthen their academic and professional development.”
With this signing, IMP and UJAT reaffirm their commitment to the development of southeastern Mexico and to building a more sustainable, inclusive energy future with greater opportunities for new generations.
