IMP and UAT Sign Collaboration Agreement to Advance Energy Projects, Talent Development, and Technological Innovation
Within the framework of the National Biofuels and Blends Meeting 2025, the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) and the Mexican Petroleum Institute (IMP) signed a strategic agreement to strengthen the development of specialized talent and promote joint research and technological development projects in the energy sector.
The agreement, signed by Rector Dámaso Anaya Alvarado and IMP Director General Dr. Elizabeth Mar Juárez, with the support of the Secretaría de Desarrollo Energético de Tamaulipas, creates new opportunities to integrate students and faculty into key initiatives related to energy transition, biofuels, and the use of local resources.
The partnership includes academic and scientific collaboration programs, mobility for professors and researchers, and the promotion of technological innovation projects with impact across the public, private, and social sectors. Through this agreement, IMP and UAT consolidate a strategic synergy that strengthens the link between academia and industry, accelerating sustainable development and Mexico’s energy competitiveness.
