Instituto Mexicano del Petróleo and the Consorcio Binacional CEPEGAS, A.C.
On April 29, 2026, the Mexican Petroleum Institute (IMP) and the Consorcio Binacional CEPEGAS (CEPEGAS) formalized a General Collaboration Agreement representing the beginning of a strategic alliance aimed at promoting innovation, technological development, and value creation in the energy sector.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Sergio E. Sánchez Morrill, acting as Legal Representative and Acting Head of the IMP Technology Commercialization Directorate, and by Ms. Ofelia Guadalupe Garza Delgado, Legal Representative of CEPEGAS.
The main objective of this agreement is to promote the application of research and development results, strengthen knowledge transfer, and encourage technology adoption. It also establishes the foundation for close collaboration to enhance institutional capabilities and create new business opportunities.
Within the framework of this alliance, both organizations expressed their interest in establishing specific agreements to develop joint projects in areas such as scientific and technological research, business development, and specialized training programs.
