IMP-NitSorb

Technology for reducing nitrogen-containing organic compounds (NOCs) in HDS feedstocks for ultra-low sulfur diesel production, using the material as an absorbent.

  • Possibility of converting medium-pressure HDS units into ULSD production units without the need to add kerosene and/or jet fuel to lighten the feedstocks.
  • Lower hydrogen consumption in the HDS process (10–20%).
  • Extended lifespan of the catalysts used.
  • Savings in the design and construction of new high-pressure HDS units for ULSD production.
